Systems Administration is the department responsible for the County’s Computer Infrastructure. The County uses approximately 270 PCs, 142 printers and 14 Servers to perform its various duties. These are located mostly in the Courthouse and Justice Buildings but other locations include the Highway Department, Work Release Center, Health Clinic and Turkey Creek, Tippecanoe and Plain Township Assessors offices.
Office responsibilities include, purchase and installation of new systems (both hardware and software), maintenance and repair of existing systems, help desk support for County employees, working with software vendors in supporting their products and finding time to match emerging technologies with current and anticipated needs. These tasks are performed by a staff of two employees.
In the past eight years technology has allowed for major advances in form and function. The Systems Administration department is committed to managing the implementation of this technology effectively and efficiently for the citizens of Kosciusko County.
